SHADOW DEATH CLOUD
One of the most terrifying of weapons seen by the eyes of man is the Shadow Death Cloud. This cloud was used by the Shadows to destroy dozens of worlds and again by the Drakh on Daltron VII and they almost succeeded in using one of these clouds to destroy the planet Earth last year. The Shadow Death Cloud consists of several layers. The outer layer of the Shadow planet killer is its trademark black cloud that completely obscured the mechanism's inner workings. This cloud would appear to be comprised of nano-robots, capable of devouring all the usable matterials, biological and otherwise, from any planet. These nano-bots are not true robots however, but instead biological organisms. These bio-nanites appear to devour a planet's raw matterial in order to fuel and sustain this terrifying machine. The inner workings of the Death Cloud did not come clear until recently. The inside mechanism of the Death Cloud would appear to be a larger, web like construct that expands from a very compact form, to envelope an entire world. Once a planet is locked within the grip of the Death Cloud, the mechanism's offensive systems go to work.Unlike the Volron Planet Killer, which used a massive energy bolt to blow a planet to kingdom come, the Shadows take a much more conservative approach to destroying a planet. Using multi-gigaton missile-like projectiles, the Death Cloud fires these projectiles at the planet and they burrow down through the planet's crust and detonate once they reach a planet's core. This literally turns a planet inside out, transforming it into a radioactive, molten wasteland. While in its molten form, the bio-nanites strip the planet of any and all organic and useful inorganic matterials and uses this to sustain the Death Cloud. Once a planet has been strip-mined of all useful matterials, it is left little more than a ball of molten rock in space. It is at this point that the Death Cloud, as a final planetary harvesting operation, strips most of the thermal energy from the planet's mass, leaving it a cold lifeless world. Following this, the cloud moves onto its next target. When a Shadow Death Cloud leaves a planet, that planet is left as little more than a cold dead boulder in space, all organic life, in any form having been devoured and with no chance of life ever springing up on that world again.

The Vorlon Planetkiller
The Vorlon Planetkiller is one of the biggest vessel ever seen in the Babylon 5 universe. The ship was discovered by Susan Ivanova and Ranger Marcus Cole while they were searching for some of the other First-Ones. They found some strange signals in hyperspace and decided to investigate these signals. When they reached the position where the signal came from, they found a huge Vorlon armada and the Planetkiller. The Vorlons were attacking all planets that ever had contact with the Shadows. They wanted to eliminate all Shadow presence in the universe. To reach their goal they destroyed dozens of planets, some uninhabited but most inhabited. Millions of people died during these attacks. Sheridan assembled a huge armada to act against the destruction of more planets when he found out the reason for the Vorlon attacks. He knew that sooner or later the Vorlons would turn against Mars and Earth. Another Planetkiller was spotted in Centauri space, heading for Centauri Prime where the Shadow had established a base on the isle of Selini. Londo Molari destroyed all Shadow presence on Centauri Prime but the Vorlons still headed for the planet. The Vorlons moved away from Centauri Prime shortly before they could attack the planet. They needed all forces at Coriana 6 where Sheridan's armada fought against the Vorlons and the Shadows. The battle in the Coriana system caused heavy losses in the Army of Light forces. When the Planetkiller prepared to fire the main weapon, Sheridan called for the other First-Ones. They concentrated their firepower at the Planetkiller, destroying the ship within seconds. It is still unknown how many Planetkiller the Vorlons had in their naval forces.
One of the most terrifying weapons in galactic history, the Vorlon Planet Killer was not seen until the latter stages of the Shadow War. This mammoth vessel measured between 3 and 4 miles across her central Y axis with a length of appriximately 42 to 58 kilometers. The Planet Killer was apparently the largest and most powerful vessel in the Vorlon fleet, possessing enough fire power to destroy an entire planet. Only one of these vessels was ever destroyed, and only then via the combined firepower of all the first ones. This organic based ship was powered by the raw destructive energy of Hyperspace it self, using tidal forces within Hyperspace to fire a massive energy bursts from the four forward booms rated at between 1.032 1.038joules, capable of destroying a planet of nearly any size reducing a planet to ash and meteorid fragments. In its brief use near the end of the Shadow War, this class of vessel was responsible for the destruction of dozens of worlds and nearly destroyed the Centauri home world. As the Vorlons have moved beyond the RIM, races will no longer have to fear this space born juggernaut.
